MAKING THE JAM WORK:
Here are a few points toward understanding how to help support & get the most of this event;
*The event starts at 14.00 with a performance by Brian Kramer Band for aprox. 40 min. It ends at 18.00 with a selection of the best performers/special guests for the grand finale.
*There is no “sign up sheet” so Brian will personally acknowledge who is ready and available to jam, (usually by viewing who is sitting in the “bull pit” to the side of the stage.)
*If you would like to jam with us you must make it clear to Brian or the other house band members.
If you are new, you must make it known that you would like to join us BEFORE 17.30 otherwise you will miss the chance that week.
(Just because you have a guitar and are standing in the middle of the room does not guarantee you a spot.)
*Repeat guests will play a minimum of two songs (or 7 minutes total stage time).
First time guests depending on their level of musicianship will perform one song minimum.
*Guests may not be called up on a first-come first-served basis, it depends on the conditions of who is available, the level of expertise and if we have any “special guest artists” in the house
(If Professionals take the time to show up, they get first priority).
*Guests must have their own instrument cables, picks, straps and be ready to perform with your instrument IN TUNE before they step on stage.
*We accommodate on the average of 30+ guests a week so sometimes a return player may have to make a sacrifice & play one less song in order for there to be enough time for others.
Remember; it’s not how much time you have on stage, but what you do with it to be really satisfied!

* Guests will receive a ticket after they play which will give them a discount on a tasty beverage. Only one ticket per performer.
*Brian Kramer reserves the right to deny any musician on stage if;
-They don’t have there own guitar/bass/instruments etc.
-They are too intoxicated to focus on performing adequately.
-They are uncooperative, unreasonable and creating a distraction to the other performers
-They are outside the club or non-responsive when there name is called to play.
-They show up after 17.30 when the jam is winding down.
*Brian reserves to right to preserve the quality and integrity of the show any way possible In order to keep happy, satisfied patrons coming back to Stampen for more!
Our “open stage” is a unique experience for guest musicians as well as the public.
We will do our best to accommodate and acknowledge anyone who wants to be part of our scene.
You will have to understand that it is the completely spontaneous nature of this event that makes it so attractive, Because of this, some weeks will be more satisfying than others for some participants.
Our main priority is the quality of the performance and experience, not the quantity of time spent on stage, or how many solos were or were not played.
As long as you remember that this is an ongoing scene and a place for all of us to grow;
There is always a next time!
If you are not completely satisfied with your experience as a guest at Stampen’s jam and don’t mind constructive criticism, Please see Brian personally at Stampen to talk about it.
You are most welcome!
